We are excited to announce this year's Building Community Leaders event!

Building Community Leaders is an opportunity for us to engage with incoming Chapter committee members, and ensure you have all the information, knowledge and skills you need to have a successful year ahead.

This day-long workshop will provide you with the opportunity to start building connections with other Chapters, share resources and help shape the future of Engineers Without Borders UK and our engagement with the Chapter network.

Date: Saturday 19 October 2024

Time: 10:00 - 16:30

Venue: The Foundry, 17 Oval Way, London, SE11 5RR

Important information
- Attendance is limited to 3 committee members per Chapter. We'd recommend, if possible that this includes the President.
- Travel will not be reimbursed by Engineers Without Borders UK. We'd recommend applying for a grant from your SU or engineering department to support your attendance. If this is the only barrier to engagement, please let us know.
This registration form needs to be completed individually by each person attending.

Attending Building Community Leaders is a highlight of the academic year for Chapters. This event is an essential part of your journey as a Chapter committee member and will provide you with an opportunity to meet like-minded students from across the UK, all of whom are passionate about ensuring global responsibility is at the heart of engineering.

To ensure we are able to run an in-person event, we have unfortunately had to reduce our financial support for Chapters to attend this event. Unless it has been previously arranged, we aren't able to cover the cost of travel to and from London.

We'd recommend you reach out to your engineering department and/or Students' Union to see what opportunities they have for you to access grants and funding. If you are finding it difficult to secure funding to attend, please let us know.
